The slope of eGFR decline is depicted as the inclination of each line. The trajectory of renal function based on this slope was predicted with a simulation method. The shape of the graph was gently convex downward, which matches the tendency for the slope of eGFR decline to be steeper for higher baseline eGFR and shallower for lower baseline eGFR.

Mechanical retention and stability of the hydrogel after application. After hydrogel application, the condyle was gently relocated back under the meniscus, the limb was fully extended and the knee was bent several times to ensure material retention, and simultaneously the hydrogel surface was shaped to match local topography. Note complete retention of both hydrogel layers and convex surface shape matching. Methylene blue-coloured bottom hydrogel layer was used for better contrast.
